About the Baking Industry Group

The Baking Industry Group (BIG) is a new entity which complements the existing entities of; Baking Industry Association Queensland Union of Employers (BIAQ), The National Baking Industry Association (NBIA), Baking Industry Training Australia (BITA) and Bread House.

It is a not-for-profit organisation whose role is to provide industry leadership to develop, support and protect the principles of efficiency, quality and best practices in the Baking Industry and utilises the resources of the Association and other companies.

Furthermore, Baking Industry Group is a company limited by guarantee, as such it is wholly owned by its members.

Its mission statement is to protect, promote, develop & give a voice to the baking industry for the future and as such, plays a vital role in the development, promotion, education, training and protection for business owners within this industry.

“Baking Industry Group” members represent the full spectrum of the food industry, from bakeries, patisseries, donut and muffin retailers, plant operators and franchises to a wide variety of equipment and ingredient suppliers. This diverse membership base means the Group is in a unique position to link participants from all areas of the supply chain.
